Dovie was born on the 13th of March 1881 to Clarasa Ann Reavis and Amzira Anthony Reynolds in Tennessee. On October 26, 1904, Dovie married William Woodward Sanders in Bedford County, Tennessee. William Woodward Sanders was born on 11 Jan 1881 to Selena C Smith and Henry Eli Sanders in Franklin County, Tennessee. Their children included:

Mardest Lester (1905-1966)
Lester was born 14 Dec 1905. He married Sara Smith who was born 28 Dec 1910. They had one son and two daughters together. Lester passed away 2 Nov 1966 and his wife Sara died on 22 Jun 1987. They are buried beside each other in Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville, Tennessee.
Bernice Lorene (1909-1976)
Bernice Lorene was born 27 Jan 1909. She married James Parnell Crews who was born 17 Sep 1917. They had two children together: One living daughter and their son Woodard Parnell Crews b. 18 Oct 1950 d. 19 Jun 1980. Lorene passed away 8 Jun 1976 in Shelbyville. Her husband James died 20 Jun 1992 in Shelbyville.
Doyle Woodard (1919-2008)
Doyle was born 11 Jun 1915. He married Mary Aline Haithcoat on 5 May 1935. Mary was born 10 Oct 1915 in Bedford County, Tennessee Mary died 19 Feb 2006 in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Doyle passed away 15 Feb 2008 in Murfreesboro, Rutherford, Tennessee. Doyle and Mary have 2 living sons and 1 living daughter. Their daughter Joyce Faye who married (living) and had four children (living). Joyce lived at Wheel, Bedford County, Tennessee at the old home place of Amzira Reynolds Sr. Joyce died 2 Dec 2008.
Macon Ailene (1921-2001)
Macon was born 1 Feb 1921 in Bedford County, Tennessee. She married John Dennis Atnip on 14 July 1940 in Bedford County, Tennessee. John was born 12 Sep 1918 in Shelbyville. They had one son (living) together. Macon passed away 8 June 2001 in Shelbyville. John passed away 6 Sep 2003 in Tullahoma, Coffee County, Tennessee.
Dovie died on 21 Dec 1936 in Bedford County, Tennessee. She is buried in Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville, Tennessee. Her husband William would later marry her sister Louella. William died January 4, 1956 in Bedford County, Tennessee and is buried in Willow Mount Cemetery in Shelbyville.
