Alonzo Pendleton

Alonzo Pendleton was born 24 Dec 1861 in White County, Tennessee. He is listed in the 1870 & 1880 U.S. Federal Censuses with his parents in White County, Tennessee. In 1893 Alonzo married Minnie Lansden. Minnie was born 18 Jun 1871 in Jackson, Tennessee to Lee Ann (McGee) and Hugh Lansden. Alonzo and Minnie would make their home in White County, Tennessee.
   In the 1900 census, a 6-year old girl named "Mamie B. Nicholas" was living as a boarder with Alonzo and Minnie. In the 1910 census, a 16-year old girl listed as "Mannie Johnson" is cited as their adopted daughter. In the 1920 census, a 23-year old girl listed as Mamie Johnson as the daughter of Alonzo and Minnie. The 1930 census shows 34 year old Mammie Johnson as the daughter of Alonzo and Minnie.
   Alonzo passed away 2 April 1933 and Minnie passed away 26 Feb 1940 -- both in Sparta, White, Tennessee. They are buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Sparta, White, Tennessee. Their adopted daughter Mayme B. Johnson passed away 18 June 1841 and is also buried in Greenwood Cemetery.

Lorenzo G. Johnson

Samantha D. Johnson

Samantha was born in April 1864 [almost certainly in White County] Tennessee. She is listed in the 1870 & 1880 U.S. Federal Censuses with her parents in White County, Tennessee. In the mid 1880's, Samantha married a Sparkman. Their children included: Charles H Sparkman (1886), William Sparkman (1888) and Frederick Sparkman (1889). In the 1900 census, Samantha is widowed and living in Sparta Town, White County, Tennessee with her three children and her mother Melcena.

Cora A. Johnson

Cora A was born 04 Apr 1866 in White County, Tennessee. She is listed in the 1870 & 1880 U.S. Federal Censuses with her parents in White County, Tennessee. On 19 Feb 1883, Cora married W. T. Anderson in White County. She died 27 Jun 1888 and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Doyle, White, Tennessee.
