A brief history of Frederick G Wyatt and Mary

Frederick G. Wyatt was born in 1793 in Charlotte, Virginia. [Researcher Note: Please read under research notes below about the possible parentage of Zachariah Sacker Wyatt and Elizabeth Ripley.]

Around 1819 Frederick married Mary [last name unknown.] Mary was born in Kentucky in approximately 1800. The marriage may have taken place is Kentucky since their eldest son John was born in Kentucky. The Wyatt family soon relocated to Tennessee as their next son Leander Jackson was born [also in approximately 1820] in Smith County, Tennessee.

[The first census that I could locate for the Wyatt family:] The Wyatt family was living in Smith County, Tennessee in 1840 as there was a Frederick Wyatt listed in the US Federal Census for Smith County.

In the 1850 US Federal Census, the Frederick Wyatt family were cited as living North of Cumberland and East of Caney Fork Rivers in Smith County, Tennessee. [Researcher Note: I am uncertain of the 1860 census; however, I believe that the family remained living in Smith County, Tennessee.]

It appears that Mary and Frederick both died in approximately 1860 or shortly afterward, likely in Smith County, Tennessee.
